Origami is the art of paper folding. In modern usage, the word “origami” is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin. The goal is to transform a flat sheet square of paper into a finished sculpture through folding and sculpting techniques.
I’ve always been fascinated by the beauty of this art and the benefits of it, such as develop precision and concentration, create spaces of personal motivation to develop creativity, strengthening of self-esteem through the elaboration of self-creations. So that’s what motivated me to make this set of illustrations based on real figures and shapes. The curious thing is that drawing and vectorising the figures I’ve obtained the same benefits than if I’ve done the figures. it felt relaxing and concentrating.
This is an open project, as in each time I want to relax I search for new figures and I keep drawing them trying to represent its grace.
