A friend who’s working in Ajuntament de Cornellà (Council in a town of Barcelona), recommended me to do the re-design of the programme «Nits Insòmnia», Cornellà’s Healthy Nightlife Program, which is a city program organised through the coordination of the departments of Youth and Solidarity, Sports, Social Welfare Policies, Cultural Heritage and Public Space and Environment. With the participation of the network of libraries of the city, entities, youth groups, groups of youth empowerment courses and other collaborators. They had the same logo for years, so it needed to be refreshed.
The old logo as you can see was formed by the moon and a wolf illustration, which has too many details to be a logo, less is more, so I suggested to make a brand new design of the logo keeping the same concept so the people that already knew the logo were able to identify it. I wanted to do something a bit more minimalistic, and stick together the symbol and the typography integrating the moon and the wolf in the letter «o». This way they could use the complete logo for some applications or just the symbol for others.
I suggested changing the typography for another more modern and adapted to the new times, a geometric type with a great readability both in print and digital platforms.
They needed as well a design for the promotional t-shirt of the X Aniversary of the event, so I took the chance to remark the new logo, using it as the base design and integrating into a pattern the words «X Aniversary» with different colours inside the symbol, this way the people would know about the re-design of it.
