This project was done in the middle of my first graphic design degree. I have to say that during that year, I wasn’t a big fan of the typography, actually, I didn’t like it at all. It’s incredible how someone can change your perception of something. I say this because the typography teacher I had made the typography something boring, he was a good teacher and typography lover, but he didn’t know how to spread that passion. But now, I’m a typography lover, a calligraphy addict.
One of the projects of this subject was creating a modular typography from the beginning, design the modular shapes and combine them to create letters with Adobe Illustrator. Once we got all the pieces get them stacked together and export them to FontLab and see how the typography works in a long text.
