Ajuntament de Cornellà (Council in a town of Barcelona), reached me out, to do the re-design of the programme “Punt de voluntariat i Solidaritat”. Which is a city program organised through the coordination of the department solidarity.
They had the same logo for many years, so it needed a re-design, because the design wasn’t adapted to the nowadays. The old logo, as you can see was formed by a puzzle and two hands united. These were too many unnecesary details, as well mixing different techniques that doesn’t fit properly each other, as the two hands in photography and the puzzle in illustration.
So I suggested to make a brand new design of the logo. The logo was too old, so it needed a new concept to make it work properly, because in the old one were too many concepts mixing all together. I wanted to do something a bit more minimalistic and colorful, were all the elements integrate together, and create a new graphic identity not just for the logo, but for other future design elements.
I suggested changing the typography for another more modern and adapted to the new times, a geometric type with a great readability both in print and digital platforms.
My concept lays in the unity of the people to work in this solidarity projects, every dot represents a group of different people, which united can work much better toegether to gain benefits for a better society.
