I cannot travel without my camera, something’s missing for me if I don’t take pictures around all the places I visit. I like to get the essence of each place and capture the memories because every time I watch the pictures again, I can remember every detail of the moment I took the picture.
These ones were taken in Egypt. My first trip outside Europe, it really was an amazing experience. Everyone said to me and my friends that we shouldn’t visit a country so dangerous as Egypt, but finally, we did it, and we did it in the backpacker way, improvising on the way, going from one city to another, and doing all the “don’ts”. Travelling in local transports with local people, three girls around the streets of Egypt, going out at night, meeting strangers. And not so surprisingly, the country wasn’t so bad as everyone thought. The people was very nice and kind, they tried to help us all the time, made us presents, show us the lifestyle, the food, the culture… It’s a hard experience because is a culture so different than the occidental, and the high temperatures made everything a bit more harder, but we had lots of fun, we learned and discovered a lot and we left with such great memories of doing everything that the people told us not to do. Who does not risk does not win.
